Economy
Jaworzno has a very strong economic potential; more than 7,000 commercial entities run their business there. Its leading industries are: power engineering, chemicals and construction.
Entrepreneurs perceive Jaworzno as a good location for their investments. The areas developed by the municipality in the Municipal Business Activity Zone have already been transferred to the investors. The investments were made by the foreign capital companies: PERI Polska, Militzer & Munch. Well-prepared areas await the investors in the Jaworzno Industrial Park (near A4 motorway, in the Jeleń district). New lands are being developed within the project of the Silesian Business Gateway (Jęzor zone I – II, Industrial zone I – III, Jan Kanty zone, Piłsudski zone), which will be ready in 2 years’ time. The former ‘Kościuszko’ shaft area will be available in the near future (plots of the areas of approximately 2.5 and 6 hectares); the area is intended to cater for those investments that develop the city centre. The good preparation of investment areas, openness to investors and efficient investor service make Jaworzno an ideal location for big modern investments in services and production. Moreover, the Town Hall systematically prepares lands for single and multi-family housing development.
STRUCTURE OF LABOUR MARKET
